    Professional Development Attendance
    • Discussion regarding professional development attendance numbers: 
      • In-person attendance 
      • Zoom attendance 
      • Department/area representation 
    Mailroom Feedback
    • Classified staff shared concerns and feedback regarding ongoing mailroom changes and impacts on workflow. 
    • Senate later circulated a Mailroom Impact Survey for additional campus feedback. 
    Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Plan Overview
    • Presentation by Tony Brown regarding the 2026–2029 Equal Employment Opportunity Plan. 
    • Discussion included: 
      • Role of HR in monitoring applicant pools
      • EEO training requirements for hiring committees 
      • DDEAC advisory participation opportunities 
      • Importance of equity, inclusion, and workplace climate feedback 
    • Elizabeth requested additional monitor/proctor training opportunities, noting limited offerings this year. 
    • Classified Senate reminded that classified professionals may provide feedback and consultation regarding workplace equity initiatives. 
    Time Block Scheduling (TBS) Task Force Update
    • Guiding principles and draft scheduling models were shared with campus groups. 
    • Discussion points included: 
      • Concerns regarding potential schedule changes and early start times 
      • Students struggling to find required courses needed to complete programs within two years 
      • Need for predictable and transparent scheduling 
      • Suggestion from Lydia to host an open forum for additional campus discussion 
      • Concern raised that annual scheduling alone may not resolve overall class availability issues 
    • Task force emphasized that feedback from students, counselors, faculty, and divisions continues to be collected before final recommendations. 

    Classified Professionals Appreciation Week (May 18 – 22 Announcement)
    Nomination Reminders
    • Nominations will be sent from March 17 – April 10
    • Elections will be from May 18 – 22nd
    RAPP : Faculty Hiring Prioritization Proposal Revised

    Discussion focused on: 

    • Scope of work and workload expectations for subcommittee members 
    • Membership structure and classified staff representation 
    • Clarification of voting procedures, onboarding, and term alignment 
    • Importance of transparent processes and alignment with college/district goals 

    Classified staff provided feedback regarding: 

    • Preference for clearly defined responsibilities and processes 
    • Need for onboarding/training for future members 
    • Concerns about balancing RAPP responsibilities with additional committee work 
    • Consideration of whether classified representation should be advisory, rotating, or formally appointed 

    Additional input and recommendations will be reported back to RAPP for continued review.

    Classified Senate Report Out 
    Additional Senate Announcements / Campus Engagement
    • Climate Survey Focus Groups announced for classified professionals to provide anonymous feedback regarding campus climate and workplace experiences. 
    • COOL committee circulated a survey regarding online proctoring and monitoring software usage in online courses. 
    • Blood Drive announcement shared for upcoming campus event hosted by Stanford Blood Center.
