Finding Free, Nutritious Food in our Area

The Second Harvest of Silicon Valley Get Food website is our trusted resource for finding free, nutritious food in the Silicon Valley region. The reasons we rely on it include:
  • Convenience & accessibility – The site provides an easy way to “Find Food Now,” letting users select the type of service they need (fresh groceries or ready-to-eat meals), view days and times, and locate distribution sites.
  • Multiple languages supported – Recognizing our diverse community, the website offers information in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Tagalog, Russian, Korean, Persian, Arabic, Italian, German and French.
  • Supports overall nutrition security – The site emphasizes that while living in this area can be expensive, obtaining healthy food doesn’t have to be. It aligns with our commitment to reduce hunger and bolster access to nutrition.
  • Comprehensive resource beyond the immediate need – In addition to finding distribution sites, the site provides links to apply for programs like CalFresh (formerly SNAP) and other food-related services (senior meal programs, WIC) — helping those who need more than just a one-time food pick-up.
  • Reliable contact & support – When someone needs help, the website provides a dedicated phone line (1-800-984-3663) and a means to request a call in a preferred language.
  • Local trust and mission-driven – Second Harvest of Silicon Valley’s mission is to end hunger in our community, and this site is part of that mission.
