Course Description
This course focuses on the development of English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills at the low-intermediate level. It emphasizes explicit grammar instruction, writing short paragraphs, vocabulary building, pronunciation and discussion of multicultural topics.

ESL 434.01: NONCREDIT Fully ON-CAMPUS. This class meets on-campus each week on scheduled days and times as noted in the class listing. This noncredit class mirrors the credit class ESL 234. Noncredit courses are intended to gain general knowledge, learn a new skill, upgrade existing skills or enrich understanding of a wide range of topics. This class is non-transcriptable and cannot be used to earn an associate degree nor be used as transfer. You can earn a non-transcriptable vocational certificate upon completion. This is a 12-week class.
