Basic Pilates Mat Exercise


Course Description

This course introduces Kinesiology through the study of Pilates. It includes a global and historical perspective, key philosophical concepts, and the six principles of Pilates exercise. Students will practice basic Pilates mat techniques to improve concentration, mind relaxation techniques, core strength, and flexibility. The course also includes basic exercise physiology concepts and nutrition.
