Elementary Mandarin (First Quarter)


Course Description

This course provides an introduction to the language and cultures of Mandarin-speaking countries and communities. Students will develop basic skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Mandarin. These skills will be introduced and practiced within a cultural framework. Mandarin will serve as the primary language of instruction throughout the course. Emphasis will be placed on understanding language as both an expression of culture and a medium of communication.
