MAND 2
Elementary Mandarin (Second Quarter)
Course Description
This course builds on the foundational material introduced in the previous level. It continues the exploration of the language and cultures of Mandarin-speaking countries and communities. Students will further develop their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Mandarin, with continued practice within a cultural framework. Mandarin will remain the primary language of instruction. Emphasis will continue to be placed on language as both an expression of culture and a medium of communication.
