Financial Accounting I


Course Description

This course engages students to learn how accounting meets the different information needs of various users by developing and communicating financial data that is used in decision-making. Accordingly, the expected student outcome is the demonstration that the student can read, analyze, and interpret external financial statements. This course also incorporates inclusive and accessible instructional practices by using diverse real-world examples, multiple learning modalities, and closed-captioned instructional videos. Varied size of businesses will be presented. Students will have the opportunity to select whether to do an individual project or a collaborative project as a "capstone." This course incorporates multiple means of instruction and evaluation in keeping with best practices with universal design for learning.
