Automotive Planning and Small Business Management
Course Description
This course provides an understanding of employment practices and opportunities in automotive business management and ownership, including management principles, duties of a service manager, and financial operations of a service facility. The course will provide an understanding of owner communications, shop capacity management, leadership effectiveness, organizational behavior, and promotional strategies.

ATMG -0602.-65Z: Fully ONLINE. This course is an upper division course and is restricted only to students who have been admitted to the Automotive Technology Management Baccalaureate Degree program. Students of this program must meet the minimum requirements and complete a supplementary application found at deanza.edu/autotech/management. This is an online class that does not have scheduled meetings. Students can log in anytime to do the required weekly course work. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system.
