Drop-In Tutoring
Please sign in and wait at a designated Study Table for a drop-in tutor to become available. The tutor will call your name on a first-come, first-served basis.
Drop-in sessions generally last 20-30 minutes.
During busy times, drop-in tutors will distribute their time among students needing help to maximize learning for all.
You may use drop-in in addition to weekly individual or Adjunct Skills tutoring, but priority goes to students who do not use other forms of tutoring.
Students who enrolled in Adjunct Skills (SKIL 232/233) should not apply for weekly individual tutoring.
If you do not respond when contacted by a tutor, be aware that another student may take your time and you may need to request again.
Visit the General Subjects Tutoring website for more information.
Weekly Individual Tutoring
Weekly individual tutoring usually begins in week 3 or 4 of the quarter.
Weekly individual tutoring provides weekly one-hour sessions with the same tutor for
the entire quarter.
Students who have been assigned a weekly individual tutor may use drop-in tutoring when available, but priority goes to students who are not using other forms of tutoring.
If you do not respond when contacted by a tutor be aware that another student may take your time and you may need to request again.
Please request weekly individual tutoring as early in the quarter as possible. We
will not assign if you request less than three weeks before the end of the quarter.
Visit the General Subjects weekly individual tutoring website for signing up or for more information.
Group Tutoring
Quarter-long weekly sessions for one hour per week for selected courses, depending
on tutor availability.
