DMT 73B: Inventor (Beginning)

Course objectives

  • Understand the basic menu structure and graphical user interface used within AutoDesk Inventor
  • Apply simple and complex constrained 2D sketches to create solid features
  • Construct 3D solid models from sketch geometry using extrusions, revolutions and sweeps
  • Create part features such as holes, shells, fillets, chamfers, threads and drafts
  • Construct and annotate layout drawings using ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Build basic 3D assemblies with assembly constraints
  • Layout 3D exploded assembly drawings with balloon labels and a BOM parts list
