We Want to Welcome You Back

Dear Student,

We'd like to invite you to return to De Anza College and continue your educational journey this fall.

We understand that life responsibilities can sometimes interfere with academic goals. We want you to know you’re not alone. Our Academic Awareness Program team is here to support you at every step and help you regain good academic standing, so you can achieve your goals.

To help make your return as smooth as possible, we’ve removed a previous registration hold from your student account. Here's what you'll need to do next:

STEP 1: Submit a new application for admission so we can re-activate your Campuswide ID. You can open the application by clicking this button:

Apply Now

STEP 2: Meet with an Academic Awareness Program counselor.

  • One of our counselors – Glynn Wallis or Phong Lam – will help you with updating your education plan, selecting classes for fall quarter and developing a strategy for returning to good academic standing.
  • After you re-apply for admission, click this link to schedule your academic counseling appointment

STEP 3: Before your counseling appointment, click this link to complete the student self-assessment form.

STEP 4: Connect with an Academic Awareness student success specialist.

  • Our specialists – Sara Partida Medina and Brenda Recinos – are here to support your transition back to college. They can assist you with finding services and resources, removing any additional registration holds, completing the student self-assessment, and scheduling counseling appointments. They will also check in with you throughout the summer and fall to ensure you have everything you need to succeed.
  • You can reach them by calling 408.864.8388
  • You can also reach them through the Academic Awareness Program help desk.

We also recommend that you apply for the Strength Through Adversity Scholarship, which is designed to support students who are working to improve their academic standing. The scholarship application will be available in late September 2025. You can find more information on the Academic Awareness Program website.

Let's Get Started! We believe in your potential. Your resilience and determination have brought you this far, and we are here to help you build the future you want to achieve.

Warm regards,
De Anza College
